We managed to get a room last minute after I made a mistake booking a different hotel, in the evening of all times, and not only did they find us a room they upgraded us for free after a really stressful evening and it was really appreciated and made our trip so much better! I can't thank the staff enough.

One of the main attractions in regards to the property is its location, it’s in central Birmingham, around amazing shops. If you walk out the hotel, it’s easy to get to the bullring, grand central and other great shops. Moreover the hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. In respect to the room, it was clean, the bathrooms are modern, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I had a nice view from the window. In comparison to other hotels the price is also cheaper than most!

After seeing the reviews not going to lie I was worried as I usually use a different hotel every trip here,but thought I would try it ad price was great.... we arrived Friday and checkin was easy plus payed a little charge foe early,room was on 7th floor. basic but that's all we needed room was very clean ,lovely bathroom with great shower,bed comfortable,stayed the 2 nights and no noise was heard from other guests,staff on reception were helpful. definitely will use this one going forward.

The large screen TV won my attention as it was probably a 55 inch and lined up perfect with the bed!. But 2 issues- room had no window but not a big deal- BUT I DID request a room with a LARGE mattress because I like to sleep IN THE MIDDLE of the bed- but what I found was two SINGLES pushed together with one large Duvet...?? But room was large- bathroom & shower nice-- And their continental breakfast was seriously lacking- basically non existent. Don't go by the online photos.

The staff on the front desk and working in the hotel are very friendly and happy to help if required. Rooms are basic but very clean, well heated and the bed was very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and nothing to find fault with at all. I was staying for a gig at 02 academy, which is a short 10-minute walk from the hotel, which is a couple of minutes' walk from new street station. Great location in the city centre, which coincided with the Christmas market. Was good value for money compared to other city centre hotels which were on average double the price of the £92 i paid for a double which was only £5 more than the single smaller room available. Would stay here again if I come for other gigs in Birmingham in the future...stay made better by IDLES gig who were fantastic as usual 😀

Having heard so much negative feedback from others regarding Britannia hotels, I had lower than averge expectations of this place, but I was pleasantly surprised with the Britannia Birmingham New Street. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable, televsivison was huge, plus free wifi and everything was spotlessly clean. Kettle in the room was also useful. I will definatley stay here again. There was also a spectacular view of the city centre from my hotel window.
